Description
E316L-16 is a rutile-low hydrogen potassium stainless steel electrode designed for welding 316/316L austenitic stainless steels, including steels with high molybdenum content. With low carbon content and high molybdenum, it delivers exceptional resistance to chloride-induced corrosion, pitting, and stress corrosion cracking, making it ideal for demanding environments such as chemical processing, marine engineering, and food production. The rutile-low hydrogen potassium coating ensures stable arc, minimal spatter, and easy slag removal, making it suitable for all-position welding
KEY FEATURES
- Low Carbon Content: The low carbon content (<0.03%) minimizes the risk of carbide precipitation in the weld heat-affected zone, providing excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion.
- Superior Corrosion Resistance:Resists chlorides, seawater, and weak acids, compliant with chemical and marine industry standards.
- Good Weldability: Ensures smooth arc control and low spatter, delivering consistent weld quality in all positions.
- All position welding
- Suitable for marine applications, food and pharmaceutical Industries, chemical process equipment
